This is my preferred swap for the stock fluorescent bulb:
It has been awhile since I posted anything on the true knocker kits I was working on. Since my LE is a wooden backbox, I installed the mech on my AC/DC. The coil assembly mounts easily to the wooden side panels, but I had to drill two holes in the top of the box for the striker plate. Just curious if any of you think this would be a problem with your metal backbox machines? I know how ocd can kick in.

I love these.....
I finally came off my Led Zeppelin new-game high and started playing Metallica again tonight. 8 years on, I still find so much to love about this game.
Quoted from astaroth:Hi, looking for MET PRO code v. 1.63.
I need to compare it for my colorization project with 1.80
Thanks![quoted image]
I’ll go through my folders tomorrow - I usually keep old firmware when I upgrade.
So I bought a new fluorescent bulb as well as new starters and still nothing. Anything else I should be checking before I give up and just switch to LED’s as mentioned above.

The only other part is the ballast.

Check out a mod for the Metallica sling spotlights.
Vote in the poll. Thanks for looking.

Quoted from swampfire:I should have done this years ago! The game is bright enough to play without overhead lights now, I love it.

If I didn't have the creeping death blades, I'd do this in a heartbeat!

Comet 2smd with clear lens

If you are looking for something slightly brighter in areas on the topside of the playfield, I recently tried the Superior fluted dome LEDs from Titan and was incredibly impressed. Slightly brighter than the Comets which I love also

Dude. Punctuation. No idea what this is about.

Quoted from Scott8806:Making a metallica topper project joe helped me design the art work for this its that uv holographic print i have pinduino driving the light show waiting for my 6 volt led strip to come in for the UV …
I had a stroke reading this, lol
Sorry fast and furious had alot to put out either way just wanted to share a cool little project been working on
Quoted from Roostking:Dude. Punctuation. No idea what this is about.
Lol, I stopped reading after the second line too!
Damn sorry i offended some people didnt feel like spending 20 minutes writing.Next time i will keep it short and sweet to anyone i caused any headaches or nausea please forgive me .....lol
Thanks i probably should have waited on showing it till i was a little further along its pretty rough right now.Still waiting on my 6 volt UV ked strip to come in
I'll try:
Making a Metallica topper project.
Joe helped me design the art work for this.
Its that UV holographic print.
I have Pinduino driving the light show.
Waiting for my 6 volt led strip to come in for the UV light in the back of the topper.
There is a Pinduino led strip in front.
I have a micro fogger that has a trigger which you can run to the sparky selonoid to make it go off.
I'm still trying to figure out how to make him shake.
I have an extra selonoid and bracket, but i think it would put to much drain on the board to try and jump off of that selonoid to the other one.
I will figure something out.
Sparky got back today from being painted. The orange and green have the UV in them.
It would be great to add the snake mod. It's the only other custom that I think I want to do.
I'm hoping Skinny Vinnie will make me one. We will see, I've got line out.
Many, many thanks to Joe at Pingraffix, Eric at Pinduino, Steve at Pinball Refinery, and Mdfather. All have helped me out.
Maybe someone will have an idea on getting sparky to shake in the topper.
Also waiting on my custom painted sparky shooting rod.
I want to add 2 spot lights on the side of sparky like in the game to light him up. I have to find what LED is in there for that.
Damn, i think i have my spokesman. Good job, ,probably will need u a few more times before this project is over.

Nobody is offended, but if you can't take the time to add punctuation, well dunno. That's like the basics for written communication.
Been on here for years NEVER been called out again and really i treat this like texting didnt really want to take the time to say all that just trying to share a cool project and maybe get a few suggestions

People would offer suggestions if they can read your post all the way through. Adding a period isnt going to add anytime to the post creation.
Anyway, not a big deal.
No its really not i have posted on pinside for years had over 25 different machines . Never came up ever but okay i would like some suggestions, this has been something i have wanted to do for along time .Would be open to advice it looks pretty cool in person.Really would like to find away to make him shake .I do have the bracket and selonoid for him though im pretty sure i could not jump off the selonoid behind him to get power up top.

Who Dat say they gonna fry Sparky's ass? Who Dat? Who Dat?
I have an idea, trying to get power to the extra sparky in my topper. I know jumping off the selonoid in the game would draw to much off the board .What if i supplied it with its own power supply then some how use a relay to signal it to go off?

Sorry Sir ,You cant be trusted with punctuation. Not sure you should handle electricity.
Quoted from Scott8806:Really ?? STILL DAMN
Sorry couldnt help it.I care less about punctuation than most .I am the biggest offender.
What if the topper Sparky shook every time you pressed a flipper button? Overkill? I think it might be cool.
