Quoted from DugFreez:

Now those acrylic designs (you have pictured) WOULD NOT look right behind the round speaker holes. They were cut before they released MET with a round hole speaker panel. If you would mount them behind the round holes you would see the red frames poking out at the top, left and right sides of each round speaker hole. Just something to keep in mind if you are selling them.
Revised versions of all of the acrylic designs that I sell have been done when a "round holed" speaker version of the games were released (AC/DC, Iron Man, Metallica, Spider-Man)....with the only exception being my Black Spider-Man design as there was no good way to make a single design that looked correct in both the original square speaker hole and the vault round ones. As you can see on these revised designs...the frame is cut away on the inside edges so it is not seen around the round speaker holes when mounted. This change was done as soon as each games round speaker holed version was announced, so no one needs to specify or be concerned with anything when ordering.
Doug (SpeakerLightKits.com)[quoted image]

Thanks for the great info. These have been pulled from a MET MOPLE which has square speakers as I didn’t see any of the border until they were removed. The lightning one looks really cool, I assume for an AC/DC?

Has anyone come up with a homemade option for snake fangs yhat work? The plastic ones were off center and broke in a bunch of pieces when I adjusted them. There must be somethin else.

Weird. I was one of the original buyers of the first fang batch, and they're still in perfect shape. I bought a second MET, and bought another set of fangs, and they've held up, as well. Until now, I haven't seen anyone express a need for an alternative.

Yeah, I have red and / or blue lightning bolt designs (along with others) suitable for AC/DC.

Wondering if anyone has an option for changing the crank it up lights on the premium seeing there aren’t bulbs for the inserts? The fuel light inserts are too small to use here

#17306 4 years ago

Anybody know if Midnight Madness is available for Mettalica? Never heard of it before, but apparently its on other Stern.

Midnight Madness is what Dwight Sullivan likes to code in game he works on. Not sure if he does it on all that he works on.

The link below is for a post showing colored gel paper on the fuel gauge. It would be the same concept for the insert lights. Run the screw that mounts the board through the paper.

I have a magnet processor board for sale. Part number: 520-6801-00 REV C.

They seem to go for about $65.

I'll sell for $35 plus shipping. Anywhere in the US and Canada should be about $5-8.

PM me if interested.

Cheers!

If ive said it once ive said it 1000 times, but damn do I love this game. After having a chance to play more and more games I simply cannot find one as fun as Metallica.

#17315 4 years ago

Agree. I just added TWD to my small collection and i think i may have a lyman sheets masterpiece set.

SMVE
Met pro
TWD premium

Met pro was my first pin. And its not going anywhere!

It really is a great pin. I'm so glad that I got one.

Has anyone else had the problem that when you start a game you can’t choose your song immediately? I have to wait at least 20-30 seconds before the flipper buttons change the song

Damn, I must really suck lol. Owned for years and still havent gotten there. I sometimes start a game with the intention to getting in and out of CIU asap, but then just end up playing it lol.

Had mine about 10 months and 275,000,000 is all I can squeeze out of it.

#17326 4 years ago

I've had mine for many years. GC is 4 Billion but that was one of the few times I've been to EOTL. The next closest score is 600M. It takes 450M just to get on the board....

#17327 4 years ago

the end of the line scoring gets really crazy. the super jackpot for me was a 1 billion shot (under 4x). you can lock balls in the snake like normal multiball but this time every time you do it adds a ball instead of just the first time. and 4x playfield is super valuable. if i had 4x for the collect the final shot would have been 12 billion points. also, your super jackpots are based off of what you did in the 4 previous crank it ups

Quoted from Rickwh:

Give yourself some credit, I bet you have gotten higher than 250,000

My MET Premium started acting up about a month ago. Some times (most of the time), all the GI's start flashing very quickly, this happens in attract mode as well as during game play. Very distracting. Also, don't know if it's connected somehow, but randomly during gameplay, graveyard multiball will start meanwhile, no targets have been knocked down so there just isn't any way to justify it starting. Any suggestions folks?

Quoted from Spelunk71:

Pinwoofer kit. It’s kind of expensive but definitely worth it.

I saw this post and ordered the super kit - what a difference in sound. You can tell how cheap the stock speakers are once you see the replacements in the kit. Add in the fact that they are powered, way cool. The service I got from Dan at Pinwoofer was fantastic as well - highly recommend these guys!!

Ha ha, I know your pain. Our met recently went to a local brewery for a 2 month guest spot in thier line up, day before it left, we lowered pitch from 7 to 6.5, changed to five ball and got a couple of the boys round, expecting to put some decent scores up....
Nope....
Worse then a 3 ball game without exception

#17338 4 years ago
Quoted from FuryosJustin:

we lowered pitch from 7 to 6.5,

Yup, lowering the angle would make the wide shots a little later and make the ball harder to trap. (maybe changes the speed of the ball in the inlane also)

I know when I change the angle of a pin, there is a long learning curve to find the shots again.

Does anyone know of a website / pinsider who sells a replacement for the plastic air ball guard for the right ramp? TIA.

Quoted from iAmKemo:

I took mine off years ago, its not necessary. I think in all that time, Ive has 2 balls jump out of the wireform.

Quoted from Roostking:

Same here, then recently I installed new coil stops for the flippers and I'm having balls fly off pretty frequently. I'm going to reinstall mine next time I have the glass off.

Pinsider a few years ago came up with the solution which I think is better. Some guys called the original a Buffett sneeze guard. I prob still have it if you need one. What happened to yours?

After several months of this project sitting on the shelf, I finally have a fully functioning prototype of my MetPro rising cross mod. It is a few 3D printed parts, a servo, and a control board. It's plug and play as far as connecting to the target opto board and the cross LED. It needs a few tweaks and a lot of play testing before it's done, but I was excited to share a video of it in action.

Have you installed the newest code? It seemed to take two hits to start graveyard mb.. it should only be one hit after the drop targets are down

takes 2 hits on mine as well (I'm still running 1.70 code), but the game even has a call out when you hit it the first time (after dropping all 3 in-line targets) and the playfield lighting goes blue on the premium/LE
