I have a full set of Met pro plastics, if anyone is interested. Maybe someone that made a mistake cutting them for the spinners.

Quoted from Spiderpin:Looks good, I see the left orbit spinner that you added wasn't enough. I added spinner too but the cross you added is the ticket. What do you have you spinner tried into. Mines hooked to the upper top switch next to up post.
I had them hooked up to the total lightshow board but since the last update I had to temporarily wire both up to the right pick target.
Quoted from jkashani:Anyone have instructions on hooking up the pro spinners? I know I have to adapt one plastic but I want to make sure I hook them up correctly.
You’ve got to cut two plastics... All the steps you need are in hooks thread...
If you didn’t buy his kit and put your own together done forget the diode on the switch... won’t work without it.
What do you chaps think about Cliffy vs Mantis in regards to protecting the mystery hole?
It seems like there's a trade off. Cliffy offers better protection, but as usual, it will somewhat affect the ball's travel and get worse over time.
The Mantis looks like it wouldn't affect the ball at all, but it doesn't protect the rim of the hole.
Anyone have long term/hard use with either one? Pics?
Thanks!

I have both installed in mine for maximum protection. yes, the cliffy does affect slow balls from entering the mystery scoop, but it's a small price to pay vs. having the edge of the hole all gouged up over time

I have a complete set of Cliffy's installed on my Met with ZERO issues....I haven't used the Mantis protectors.

Cliffy all day long. Protect the part of the hole that gets worn. Which is the whole point.
I have the Mantis protector in mine along with some mylar around the edges. Seems to work fine with zero impact on gameplay.
Gents,
Where can you buy a good Met shooter rod?
Also, some good flipper bat covers - Metallica themed of course
Thanks....
Anyone thinking of selling their Metallica Premium LE in the near future? I'm hoping to pick one up,once I sell my house. I'd like to pick it up, to avoid shipping. I'm hoping that I'll be ready to buy, by this coming fall.
I figured It's worth a shot to ask.

I have had a marco "mantis style" protector on from game 0. Up to 2800+ plays
Can see a very small amount of wear starting on left edge.

That's the shooter right I have, and it's held up well. Looks great!!
Quoted from newpinbin:Has anyone replaced the sparky mag? If so how?
I just did. The magnet core is just threaded in but held on by a very tight nut. Scroll back a bit in this thread for ideas on breaking it loose. I pulsed the magnet a bunch of times. I don't see how that helped but it did.
Quoted from Rickwh:What size socket/nut holds that magnet core?
I use large channel lock pliers to turn the nut, so that I can hold the core from turning with a large screwdriver.
Hey Metallica pin owner’s, just wanted to give a shout out to PINWOOFER. I just bought the “Super Kit”, from Dan and I honestly couldn’t be happier! The speakers and amps are bad ass and I have never heard a pinball machine sound this good. I had a bass speaker that I would move from one pin to another, and it sounded ok, but this new kit is rock’n the hell outa my house! I have bought competitors speaker kits in the past, and they were ok, but Subwoofer is night and day better. I just ordered 2 more kits this morning, one for my new Aerosmith LE and one for my new Iron Maiden Premium. I can’t wait to get them, install them, and enjoy the new sound. Thanks Subdude for providing such a kick ass upgrade.

How bad was the mag? How many plays did you have before it need to be replaced?
How easy is it to remove Sparky? Hi right foot broke and I need to glue it - plus I'd love to get him painted. Any instructions out there?
Also, who do you recommend to paint him?
Thanks!!!

I posted a pic of the core. It was hammered flat but not mushroomed bad. I've had the game for 2-3 years and played it a lot.

That reminds me. Are there any good preventative measures you lads recommend to help protect his feet from breaking in the first place?

Modfather, and if you can wade through the BS, there’s some good info here.

I have an issue where the front two metallica graveyard markers don't register a hit on the opptos. They will register if I press down hard on them or wiggle them but I cant seem to get them adjusted in the game. Anyone else can help with this issue? Long story short this is new replacement playfield - it just has taken me a year to put the game back together because it was in storage.
Hi everyone,
Check out the mod I creates for the gravestone hole in the playfield. Custom fit, fully reversible, no permanent modifications.
It’s printed, hand painted with added greenery and cleared. This was created with a Premium machine, but also works with the Pro.
Installs under the metal ball guides leading up to the cross.
Putting feelers out to gauge any interest in this. If there are enough people interested, then I will make a run of these and start a new thread. I do have a few already completed and ready to go. These do take some time to make by the time they are printed and hand painted. Pics show mod installed in a Premium with cross up and down, lights on and off.
Pricing to be finalized depending on interest level. Hope to be in the 40 range.
Contact me if interested. Thank you.
Thanks for the question.
Yes it can. A ball has been thrown into it multiple times to test.
Also this has been on a location game for two months without any issues.

Unboxing - Cool. More photos plz!
Thanks,it was like the grail cutting the top off and seeing the coin door. Always wanted this game and an LE. I can't believe they dont come with a shaker, not sure I ever played one without it? This game took electric shock to a whole new level. Glad to be part of the club!

How was the molding attached up there? I see 2 holes, but not sure if they were used, or if the molding was just glued/tacked on. How should I replace? Thanks!
IMG_20190829_2130450 (resized).jpgIMG_20190830_0543451 (resized).jpgYou have the newer “metal back box” Met. Met came both with wooden backbox and metal. The metal ones are newer and they switched to that in 2014 or so. Metal back boxes don’t have t molding across the front. I think the two holes are supposed to have rubber stoppers cause that corresponds to where the head rests on the cab side rails.

and the playfield when you raise it against the back box.
Ah, that explains things. Odd choice though. Thanks!
Looking forward to learning from this group.

I'd like to join the club, but nobody within driving distance, wants to part with their HUO Metallica Premium LE.
Quoted from Viggin900:Is there a perticular shaker anyone recommends before I start shopping? Easy install.. thanks
I would recommend the Stern shaker. I had one in my METLE and it was perfect. Sold my METLE and bought a pro with the red shaker from CT. WAY too intense. Had to tone it down with a motor speed controller.
