Just started installing the kit & noticed there's some thin washers in the mechanism that aren't in the instructions. Should I follow the directions,or put them back on?

Leave out those washers. The new targets are a little stiffer and the lack of the thin washers allows the targets to be a little tighter. Mine has been perfect since I installed the kit minus the thin washers.

Does yours sometimes drop the back target right when you coin it up? I'm hoping this along with the new springs will fix that problem.
Mine had that same issue, but with the middle target. I haven't had an issue since, roughly 120+ games.

If you tell Stern you broke a drop,they'll send 3 new stiffer targets,stiffer springs,& instructions.

Ahhh. All Tallicas are under warranty because it's still in the 1 year warranty time frame.
