Alligator clips are not a proper connection. Solder the wires after you test with the clips.

I will text Scott and talk to him more about this. I am not sure if he has that stated in the installation instructions or not. I helped him at Pintastic New England last weekend and installed 4 sets each using 2 sets o clips. We disagree on the use of these as I like real plug connections. They are a wonderful product though.
It is easy to do. They will be a solid connection and you just cut the wires if you need to remove the kit. Not a big deal. I just am not sure if most people realize these should be soldered in place. Again, that is my opinion. I just know what happens if a clip comes off and hits a high voltage line.
