I'm straight edge. Love Minor Threat, Descendents, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime, Pears, Brutal Youth, The Steal etc

    #403 2 years ago

I tend to dig a bit deep.

    Quoted from Hazoff:

I love Megadeth but like Metallica and Maiden after the first few albums they went to shit, Peace sells and Rust in Peace are for me the best Metal/Thrash albums ever made. I'm not saying there aren't good songs here and there on the albums after but for the most part its not very good. JMO

Your kidding right? Have you heard Dystopia? Great album front to back.

Holy Shit, I never heard this album but its very old school Megadeth. Chris Adler on drums, I like it.

We were talking yesterday if there was any current band that has survived the decades but got better rather than more sucky.

Clutch was the only band we could think of that is absolutely at the top of their game RIGHT NOW, 26 years latter.

    Clutch - X-Ray Visions

    ...and on the microphone.....SCORPIO !!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. Their last two albums, Earth Rocker and Psychic Warfare, are as good as anything they've ever done. It's pretty amazing how consistently great they've been over the yesrs.

Been listening to these two old, old school Aussie punk bands a lot lately. Good stuff that's really flown under the radar for a long time (at least in the US).

It never gets old and now even reissued.

Ive seen them (DTA) live twice and it was great but I didnt see them with Chuck .

    Btw
Punk-Rock tried to kill the metal
But they failed, as they were smite to the ground

Anthrax and Sanctuary are sounding phenomenal vs. Their older stuff.... They sound more polished now!!

Megadeth is still putting out great music. Dystopia is one of my favorite albums from them now. Kiko is an amazing guitarist, and Dave is no slouch.

I play in a death metal band in Maine.

I listen to a wide range of metal, currently getting the most playtime is Bloodbath. Nightmares Made Flesh is one of the best death metal albums ever. I enjoy a pretty wide range of metal, though. From A Perfect Circle, to Rage Against the Machine, Fear Factory, Slayer, Morbid Angel and everything in between.

Yep I'm loving that album and this as well,

New Six Feet Under tuesday can't wait.

    Damn Darkslide632 I'm digging this.

Man, that song is 15 years old or something, haha. We finally recorded it for that album a couple years ago. I used to enjoy it, but we've played it so much that I can't stand to play it anymore. It was always a fan favorite though.

    Thanks!

I saw Megadeth play in a room the size of my kitchen this week. They ripped through every single one of their hits in an hour. Definitely the highlight of my metal career.
