Some metal posts in my game have developed a dusty/white finish. Previously they were shiny... is it humidity or something? The game is in a temperature controlled room and works perfectly...

If the posts are aluminum - aluminum oxide maybe? It's white.

If they are zinc coated it could also be 'white rust'. Any photos? What game?

Yes, post some pictures please and the name of the machine.

    Could also be wax residue…

It’s on my GNR SE. the shiny metal posts used for the slings and a couple of other areas all have the issue, as well as the service rails. Other than this the game is minty and works great... no other games in my room exhibit this issue

My guess is that they use a cheap finish? The game is in a temperature controlled room.

I would say it's a "green (save the world)" finish - that's more likely than a cheap finish as you suggest. It probably actually costs MORE because of all the restrictions these days.

    Expecting quality control from JJP?

Polish that metal with either SimiChrome Polish or conventional chrome polish and it should be ok.
