It's difficult dealing with Stern directly trying to get a playfield replaced. I did it, but it took months. From start to finish it was 5 months to get my warped playfield replaced. I documented the process for posterity here on pinside. If I had to do it over, I would go through my distributor.

Someone posted pictures where the playfield on their MET sunk in around the Sparky magnet. It looked pretty bad and they said Stern wouldn't replace it.
