The improved magnet action really adds to the gameplay.
Put in a good few hours yesterday and the game feels new and fresh.
I'm loving the risk/reward in the crank it up modes.
The scoring opportunities are huge with shots being worth 2mil + each.
I actually managed to complete Battery with 12 sparky hits, and was awarded a 15mil completion bonus.
More reason to not cash in early and some serious tournament strategy at play.
Another nuance I noticed is that starting a crank it up mode with seek and destroy running will end seek and destroy.
Quoted from gambit3113:I am doing this. Hitting that damned snake 15 times is a chore.
I find the scoring opportunities so huge in Crank It Up modes, they actually are mini-wizard modes and should not be a given every game.
Also, you don't have to hit the snake 15 times.
Hitting a ramp or loop or grave marker when the snake insert is lit counts as a snake hit.
As KME said, the only shot you actually must hit 15 times is the coffin.
Quoted from yancy:Pretty sure I've never survived six minutes of single-ball Metallica play, so I don't see myself ever finishing a CIU mode without a short ball save to get me in the groove.
To finish any CIU mode you only need to hit 5 shots.
Grave marker, sparky, coffin, and snake.
Scoop will then light for a chance to collect.
I have completed a CIU in less than 15 seconds....
Any other ramp or orbit will score a jackpot added to your mode total.
If you choose to cash out the mode, you have the option to re light CIU quickly by hitting all the arrow shots - which also still score jackpots!
Updated Rulesheet with my early findings - more to come!
