I've been tinkering with the microswitches that are triggered by the strikeplate in front of the witch. One of them wasn't registering very well, so I loosened the screws and moved them around a bit. This didn't help much, so I bent the arms of the switches. Unfortunately it looks like I bent the arms too much and messed up the switches completely to the point where I think they need to be replaced. These witch switches are almost impossible to get right, because if one switch is working ok, then the other one doesn't register and vice versa. I wished there was only one switch behind the strikeplate.

Anyway, when I lookup the partnumber in the manual (18-3005-00), these microswitches are not available in the JJP webstore. Is there anyway these microswitches can be replaced by a similar kind?

I already contacted JJP to see if it's possible to order the original microswitches, so I'm still waiting for their reply, but I was wondering if it would even be possible to replace them with a similar kind in case they can't be ordered directly from JJP.

I feel your pain. The witch strike plate switches were a bear to get right when I first got my WOZ.

I wonder if either of these will work (looking at the schematics): https://www.pinballlife.com/search.html

same here. brand new ruby red 2.0 had witch issues right out of the box. both switches are N/C which is a bad idea when it comes to a mech like the witch. the witch on mine kept activating over and over when no balls were even near it.
the limit switches also did not work correct and the witch would not stay up. The drop target before the ball goes up top, the ball was also was getting stuck above the target when target was down because it wasn't positioned correct to the play field surface. One target near the pops was stuck closed out of the box as well creating matrix issues elsewhere. also had a rubber under the right mini upper pf break in half within the first 20 games.
Kinda crazy to have a $9500 game have issues like that right out of the box.

The link you provided does not link to a specific switch, but an empty search page. So I'm not sure what you exactly mean, but I'm interested to see which type of switch you were referring to.

Thanks in advance.

Arg. That’s no help.

I’d guess the first one as being more likely to work. But honestly it’s a guess. If you have anything else to order from PBL, toss a couple in and try them.

I just got a reply from JJP (Shannon) and she told me I could order them directly through her.

I also ordered a few extra washers that are used to fasten them, because those washers are sooo tiny, that I already lost 2 of them when trying to screw the switches back in place.

When I have the switches, I guess it's no more bending for me

I actually have that switch adjuster tool and I did try using it, but the arm of the microswitch was messing up my tool. I guess that metal arm is made out of pretty strong material (it was bending my tool instead of the switch arm), so that's why I stopped using the switch adjuster tool. Thanks for the tip though.

I’m a bigger fan of https://www.pinballlife.com/ultimate-leaf-adjuster-tool.html - bit more flexible with a couple different angles.

I’ve never really heard of a blade on a micro switch besting one of these tools.
