Quoted from Stu:
You 'are' aware that the original EATPM was a Translite done in Photographic Continuous Tone Color Process ( like a Kodak Picture Print ) right?
'Yes'. That's why I noted that it was an RGB to CMYK conversion. My translite projects use the same photographic process, I get the difference, no need to explain it.
Quoted from Stu:
So Aurich, No matter how bad you bash CPR's work the Fact is this:
We provide the Best Product Possible with the Technology available to us at the time. If it doesn't meet your standards/approvals, then simply don't buy it. But there is no reason for you to bash our products in a public forum this way, all it does is hurt the sales of CPR
I know you're really sensitive to every little perceived slight, but I'm not bashing CPR. You got on my case already when I reviewed the EATPM backglass, claiming that me being honest was hurting CPR's sales. Sorry, but describing your product accurately and giving a review of it (positive and negative) isn't bashing, and if people don't want to buy it because you let some of the details vanish to white I can't help that. It bothers me that you're trying to silence me again from simply speaking some basic truths. Either stand behind your product or don't. Telling people to be quiet about defects so that you don't lose sales is disingenuous.
I didn't complain that the color accuracy wan't perfect, anyone who understand RGB -> CMYK conversion knows that's impossible. You can't do anything about the dithering and fine detail either, I get that. My complaint was that you washed out the area around Elvira to white. The steps behind her just vanished, she's got a white halo of fog now. That has nothing to to do with color conversion, nothing there was impossible to print in CMYK, it could have been fixed easily with some masking. You chose to not pay attention to that and it is what it is. Don't get mad at me for it, I didn't do it. Anyone with eyes can see it.
I have a lot of other CPR products that I've very happy with. Hell that same EATPM had brand new CPR plastics installed, looked great, was glad to buy them. I have nothing against CPR. I have nothing against you either for that matter, expect that any time someone says anything you don't agree with you flip the hell out and turn into the worst company spokesman possible. Maybe put another layer of tape on your avatar or something, you do more damage for CPR than anything anyone else says.
But by all means, pick a fight if it makes you feel better.
