All of the controlled lamps on my Medusa suddenly stay on during a game - or at least most of the game. They are slightly dimmer when one and increase in brightness when activated. I know that usually when control lamps stays on it is usually a bad SCR, but would all of the SCRs go bad at the same time? Also, while in game sometimes all of the non-activated controlled lamps will go off and the game plays normal for a while, then all the controlled lamps come back on.

Thanks

It could happen if someone shorted solenoid voltage to a specific line of lamps. I've seen a fair share of blown lamp diodes on Bally games. I've also seen someone use a PNP transistor instead of a NPN (or vise versa) and it caused all kinds of weirdness in the circuit.

This is a tough one with no obvious answer. It would be unlikely, but not impossible, for all your SCRs to short out at once. Is it possible the bridge on the rectifier board went bad? Thats a possibility along with a bad 6821 chip on the MPU. You could swap U10 and U11 and see if anything changes.

Fixed. It was not any of the SCRs. Bad solder joint connection on one of the controlled lamps at the drop down targets. Took a while to track down. The underneath is so darn crowded on this pin.
