After many years of having playfields on my walls in my office I decided it was time to light one up. I had seen that someone here had created a kit. I just could not see spending the $$$ when it was more than what I paid for the playfield. I started looking at using an Arduino Uno and kept running into issues with how I was only going to have 20 inputs and would have to double and sometime triple up the LEDs per input. I bought an Arduino Mega and it has 80 inputs so this was perfect as I had 63 LEDs to install and could control each one. I ended up with around 2000 lines of code to create the light sequence in the video. I was able to build everything for under $50.
Sorry about the lighting. I have overhead lights in my office and it cause a big glare so I tried lighting from below.
