Medieval madness original

I have the pinbits shaker motor, it is locked on and won’t stop pulsing.

The castle enter switch is functioning normally that the motor signal runs from.

The pwr and test light are illuminated.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thank you

Hi,

Somehow, your shaker is commanded by a transistor or a relay. You do not mention if it runs from the moment you switch on the game, or when you enter the castle when playing.

In the first case a transistor might be out and should be replaced. In the second, the shaker is started but do not stop. You should have a look to the electronic component that start your shaker.

It runs from the moment the machine gains power, once I got it to stay dormant until I initiated the switch that activates it from the playfield, then it logged on again.

I’m pretty handy at fixing things on boards, just not real great at diagnosing which component

I do not know this machine. But apparently, the shaker is activated when entering 3 modes

- Power shake on the castle entrance
- Power shake on the catapult launch
- Shakes when castle is destroyed

Is your problem based on the castle only, or the 3 situations ?

I guess you have read this carefully, but in case of, this is the mounting guide for the harness.

Apparently, for each situation wires from the Shaker board needs to be attached to existing connectors. I means that another component (flasher/coil) must react at the same time as the shaker since it is activated (deactivated ?). You could check that. Maybe the added harness should be double checked.

I am trying to help without having the machine nor the shaker at home.

Excellent point.

Possible solution, disconnect shaker motor and go into test mode. Test everything that might trigger whatever the shaker is connected to. I’m thinking flashers.

Have you tried to unplug the ribbon cables in the back box and plug them back in?

Thank you all!

I unplugged everything and re plugged.

... the 108 fuse for the solenoids was blown...

Replaced the fuse, tested all switches, solenoids, flashers, all is well ,

plugged in the cable to the shaker, the shaker is operating properly.

I guess the blown fuse not creating a signal for the shaker motor board causes the transistor or logic gate to confuse the situation .

Thank you all... hopefully anyone with this problem will find this solution in the future!
