Start by cleaning the optos with a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol then be sure the interruptor is actually moving far enough out of the way to allow the opto beam to close. If it still doesn't work the optos themselves are easy to replace but be sure it's not a bad connector or a wire hasn't come loose in the connector first.
