You could say the same thing about cars and such. Some people just like to drive a car to work...some people love the attention of a modded out street rod.

Personally I like playing my games way more than looking at them...either way works

Quoted from ChrisS:

I won't comment on the price, but at some point what is the point of all this extra stuff and work? It's just a pinball machine. Play it and enjoy it.

I'm wondering if in 5 years we'll be saying...'remember when we bitched about that 22k HEP MM...that was a steal.'

So Chris was able to restore a complete game without buying a single part?

His labor is 5-6k...plus parts

Quoted from gweempose:

I'm not quite sure where you are going with this. My point was simply that if there is money to be made, people will make it. If you can buy an MM for $11,000, pay Chris $5,000 to restore it, and then sell it for $18,000, that's a $2,000 profit. If you can sell it for $20,000, that's a $4,000 profit. People are too savvy to leave money like that on the table when it's there for the taking. I'd actually argue that this is one of the reasons Chris is booked up for the next year. People have started to realize that they can get back more than they put into the game because the HEP name carries so much weight. This didn't used to be the case, but it seems to be true now, at least for MM and some of the other most coveted titles.
