Fantastic work.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Top coat? As in clear coat?
Glass epoxy/foto epoxy.
Look on youtube.
It also levels the playfield flat and cristal clear.
Quoted from JeffF:Man... another thing to put on my "to-do" list.
Awesome work so far... simply awesome! And I love the fact that you are documenting everything here. This is one thread I find myself actually get excited about when I see new posts.
Thanks Jeff.
Now i have to wait a week to dry the playfield sticker.
I also have to wait a week to cure the epoxy topcoat.
So i take a break til the epoxy is dry.
Ill be back.
Quoted from MustangPaul:How long are you going to let it cure for before you start to re-populate?
One week.
I've always been too afraid to attempt clearcoating a playfield, although this looks really doable! Have you cleared playfields with this epoxy in the past? It looks great but just wondering how it holds up over time and abuse.

I never clearcoated a playfield.
So time will tell how its hold.
Maybe i put a myler on it so it stay
good.
Quoted from MustangPaul:That look great. Just a suggestion here, maybe a little green moss?
Yes it will.
This is a stone sample, not for the final colour.
on this picture you can see all nine !!! shots.
From left to right.
1 merlin
2 left loop
3 castle intrance/ drawbridge
4 lock
5 merlin/superjet lane to bumpers
6 left ramp
7 right ramp
8 cattapult
9 right loop
There are no more new things to see.
Only the complete castle walls around the upperplayfield when finished.
This wil take a lot of time.
And the electrical things.
But thats noting to show for.
I let you show the the walls when finished.
And then its a long wait till spring when every things is working.
Quoted from pinballwil:.....And then its a long wait till spring when every things is working.....
The waits are long, but seeing the results is always rewarding.
That's an amazing one-off. Stern's GoT playfield is an uncanny resemblance to yours, except yours has a throne on the playfield and the castle is, obviously, far superior. Nice work.
Great work -- I loving seeing this come together with such attention to detail. Please open source the designs!
I can't do anything, lot of things has copyrights.
So no more pins/kits.
It stay's by one home made machine.
I even can't sell translite's.
Sorry.
It was a one time only help from my wife to help me with the graphics.
So when this project is finished its history to build more pinball machine's for me.
If some one give's me a job to (help) design pinball machine's i quit my job today.
So enjoy the build for so long as it takes.
pinballwil, You've surpassed Magic Girl progress, hell you are close to lapping it. This is comimg together quickly. Do you work a real job too?
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:pinballwil, You've surpassed Magic Girl progress, hell you are close to lapping it. This is comimg together quickly. Do you work a real job too?
Yes fulltime.
I work aproxly 10/12 hour a week on year base on the machine.
Quoted from TKDalumni:If...big IF, what value would you put on this machine?
Priceless
Hi Pinballwil - you truly have crazy skills and talent, and this is one of my favorite posts to follow here. The castle is so big (and awesome).... My untrained eye tells me maybe it being a little lighter color might make it blend it better? ABSOLUTELY no criticism, and Im probably wrong, again this is crazy awesome!

Well here you see a picture with lighter color.
I changed it and i didn't want to make a mm color.
Its a choice i made.
