Thought I would check in with the experts before I start tinkering. Right one works fine. Left one goes up, then sought of starts slipping back down a little. I also notice it seems to hit the metal wireform above it but barely, so I don't think it's that even though it might seem. Anyone have any insight to this particular problem or should I just start tinkering. Almost all the parts are new, the top carriage, brackets, sleeves, coils etc..... TIA

Manually operate the one that works and watch it very closely. Work it up and down and watch the mechanics. Then do the same for the faulty one. Check for loose screws.

If you can, hold that wireform up just a tad while the troll sets and see if anything changes.

thanks Cody, anyone know, is this common that the left troll flap hits the wireform? Should I shim it ? Going to try and take a look at this later...

I've had mine for 18yrs, and the troll has always contacted the wire form.

Mine always does as well.

Ok thanks for those replies. I just took a look at it and I don't think it has anything to do with hitting the wireform. I think it might have been the blade on the up switch. Feels like it wasn't adjusted right and was sort of acting as a spring, creating enough tension to make it hard for the troll to stay up. Played a few games and it seems OK. I hope I didn't jinx myself. If I don't come back and reply then it's fixed....
