I have a MB original, and one of the screw-nails that holds the pop bumper assembly is spinning. It looks like the wood is stripped out where the nail screws into it.

Any on have any ideas how to repair this so that the pop bumper can be tightly secured ?

Mine actually already has the second one you pictured. Does that change anything ?

When you say jb weld, do you mean just fill the hole with jb weld ?

Hm. I took it all apart, and I def have the twist type with a smooth top. If I could find one with slots on the head that would be easy, I would just hold the screw with a screw driver, then tighten the nut on the bottom. Where could I get something like that ?

Yea LTG, that’s exactly how I got the old one off.

Maybe I’ll just do the opposite to tighten it and call it a day
