They do ship with the legs on all the time, and I've shipped and received many pins on the legs from them with no issues.
In this case, it appears you had a decaled game with some light lifting and wrinkling already beginning which was also jostled around a bit more than average, from what I can tell. But the leg protectors would've helped with that, which begs the question...
Why would one even go through the trouble of taking $20 leg protectors off of a machine of this value (or any machine you're shipping Legs On)?
PS- It appears even with the wrinkling and jostling you got a gorgeous MB at a very fair price, so don't sweat it too much.
