How about a 2018 CX-5? When did the change happen? The opening seems big enough - is the issue the seats not folding flat?

Also curious - how are modern Stern dimensions larger than a WPC? In what dimension? Are the dimensions consistent with all modern Sterns (1999-present) or are there variations?
Consensus seems to be that modern Sterns don't fit a 2017-present CX-5.
