Quoted from eagle18:zombywoof is right, glass hits are common from the saucer. BTW your bumper caps are reversed. 100’s on top, 1000’s below. Your playfield has a lot of wear. Many of us have installed hardtops on our MH and like them. A lot of good advice in this group.
I bought the game cheap, with the intention of doing a full restore with a hardtop, new cgc backglass, new plastics, cabinet repair and stencils
Quoted from Jahkub:when I bought mine it had so many airballs in its previous life that it has peened the metal behind the guide.
I made a protector from lexan to go under the plastics and all is well.

Can you please explain the protector you made? Does it limit the airballs? I was hoping to put some new glass on the game, but not sure if worthwhile if the glass will only get damaged from airballs
Quoted from Phesson:I bought my second Mata Hari restored with a hard top. I am very pleased with it and think it looks great. But The lane dividers look an orangey pink. I’d like to have a set of nice red ones with the Bally logo
How does the hard top play? Does it feel like a new clearcoat playfield, or a playfield protector, or something else?
