Reclaim Arcade in Fredericksburg VA. Banners up at this Stern Army location.

Great pinball lineup. Tons of arcade games. Great food truck and huge selection of craft beer.

If you're ever in the area, or willing to make the trip, it's worth it!

I drive past Fredericksburg quite often and never knew an arcade was there.

2324 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 · ~62.5 mi from my house in MD. Which is a left for me off I-95 in case I forget. LOL.

It's the first light off 95! Literally 1 minute from 95. If you are travelling thru plan extra time to stop. Pay to get in, free play all day. Food is excellent! Beer selection is huge. The place is great.

Check out that calendar too for events!

Looks like Game On here in Annapolis is doing a grand opening March 18. Don't know anything about a soft opening. Has anybody heard anything? http://www.gameonbararcade.com

Jailbreak brewing in Laurel/Jessup Maryland showed online a few weeks ago that they got a Spooky Halloween and a Star Wars Pro. Showed up today to check out Halloween and only the Star Wars was there. Bartender said the Halloween machine broke, it fried and that they got a full refund and another machine was on the way (couldn't confirm if it is another Halloween). Then he said that the Star Wars machine is an old one from the 80s and it still works great. LOL

Some in-progress pictures and videos of Game On opening in Annapolis next week can be found on their instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cald68NgY3g/

I checked out "Game On" in Annapolis yesterday. First I looked in the windows and saw a couple people inside. Then I tried the door and it was open. I asked if it was OK to look around and the guy behind the bar said sure. They are still setting up though and not open for play till friday. I saw a new Godzilla Premium and an Avengers (I think) pinballs. The guy said 2 more pinballs were inbound. There were also several standup video Multi-cades as well. It is a full bar, with premium drinks and specialty beers too. There is a parking garage 2 blocks down, which was recommended. I parked in the 7-11 parking lot across the street, but there were signs everywhere about "Enforced Towing" and a phone number to call if your car is towed.

You should be fine. Just be mindful to check if a machine currently has a game being played on it before hitting start.

Game on bar and arcade is now open in Annapolis. They have a Godzilla premium, and a guardians pro. They are getting a getaway and f-14 as well.

Sorry to the person that came in to play Godzilla premium today and it was turned off. They were moving games around this week and the SD card wiggled loose. It is working fine now. I will make sure you get a couple of beers for your trouble.

Can someone who has visited Reclaim Arcade Fredricksburg elaborate on the locations crowd managment and airflow?

I was happy to play Godzilla Premium multiple times tonight in Annapolis. Insider connect was offline though. The place was packed with young 20 somethings people. Lots of beer drinking going on and loud talking. LOL. I played High Speed too, and it was working flawlessly! Even managed to get free parking next door. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

    Pinball Gallery

    Just outside Philadelphia

$10 for a one hour pass, $25 for all day

I had a hard time keeping track but there were close to 100 games.

Yesterday I made an unplanned stop at Pinball gallery after figuring out it was 20 minutes away from my pinball trade. Holy crab crackers this place is awesome. It is about a 2 hour drive away from DC, but this is the best single location I have been to outside of a pinball show. Everything is set on freeplay outside of a few brand new LEs which are set on coin drop with all proceeds going to charity. I'm a huge pinball nerd and I counted 15 machines that I had never seen at any other location or at a pinball show. Of the games that were there, all but 4 were working, and the games were largely in great shape. There were a few that parts worn to wood but they were on 40 year old machines and played great mechanically. In the recent games list, they had a Heist, Legends of Vahala, Ultraman, Godzilla Prem, Elvira HOH, Rush LE, and a few others I'm forgetting. This is the only public location I've seen a Game of Thrones LE and Star Trek LE on location. Other uncommon to see in public games included Tron, Shadow and Mustang. Few of the games were Solid States and I think they had the biggest selection of relatively common early solid state game's I've seen. They also had a handful of arcades, board games, and other social activities set up. Even though I went on a Thursday evening there was a small crowd, but maybe 1 in 4 pins had someone on them. They also had a few games on the floor for sale. I didn't grab prices but Heist, Mando Pro, Trizone, and a handful of others had for sale signs on them and I think they rotate games pretty frequently.

If you are looking for a "pincation" this is a fantastic place to visit and worth the drive. I'm trying to find an excuse to bring the family up there and have a detour at this place. Here is a quick walkthrough and some photos for those that can't make it.

I went to Mom's today in College Park, Md to play the New Rush machine with my friend Jeff. And what do I see waiting to be unboxed? A NIB Godzilla Pro. I wanted to open it up, set it up, play it. I got my highest score on Rush and it was sent to my Stern Insider account.

PSA: The Pinfest pinball show/convention is in Allentown Pennsylvania May 6 and May 7 in 2022. It is about a 3 hour drive from DC and the biggest pinball show semi-local to our area.

This is the closest show to the VA/MD/DC area and wanted to increase awareness on it. This is a fantastic show. If you have never been to a pinball show I would strongly encourage you to go. There will be hundred(s) of pinball machines, new and used parts, a pinball tournament, tons of people to nerd out with, pinball machines for sale/trade, and an amish farmers market in the parking lot with better food than your Grandma at Thanksgiving. If we are lucky there may be a few vendors with show sample games (presold) that you can play on the floor. Recent shows have had the latest Sterns and JJPs (last year was weird due to COVID).

If you can, bring a machine and get in for free. If you bring a machine you can set up a day early (Thursday) and play a ton of games with few others around. Bringing a machine and watching others play is also enjoyable in its own right. You may think that your game isn’t that great, but people are there to play different pinball machines, and lots of random non pinball folks come too. There was a brand new recently revealed Guns and Roses and Ultraman at the last show, but I spent the majority of my time playing on a 1977 8 Ball with a ceramic ball in it.

The show is a great place to meet others for trades in and around the area. People come from Canada for this thing.

In any case, the show is strongly recommended and I would recommend the show to anyone no matter what era of pinball they are interested in. If you are coming up from the South Pinball Gallery with about 100 pins (detailed 2 posts up) is about an hours South just outside Philly and on the way.

Down at Flippers in Grandy, NC. Just a short trip from VA Beach.

He's got such a great selection of games and most of them are premium or LE. I mean it's a GREAT collection and high end stuff.

The back room is still closed and all of the oldest games are back there.

He has changed it to tokens for at least the summer. This is a change from the all day wristband.

50-75¢ for everything. Replays are easily reachable. The change sounds worse than it is. I was there for like 3-4 hours, spent $10, and I played the entire time. So I actually spent less money than the old wristband, and played a bunch or replays.

Such a great place and unassuming! Gotta stop in your way or during your stay at OBX.

Thanks a ton for this post. I’d passed this place a few times visiting OBX and never gave it a second thought. We stopped off on the way home today and had a blast. This is one of the nicest pinball rooms I’ve been to. Great selection of high quality, well maintained pins—and at great prices, like you said. Had a few pins I’ve never had the opportunity to play—thrilled to check them off my list.

Next Sunday, Decades arcade in Charlottesville, VA is having a charity tournament in memory of John Breen, who was a great player and a member of the league there. As far as I know this is the first (Of hopefully many) major events at Decades. Should be a fun time, hoping for a big turnout!

I'm so glad you got to stop! I can remember as a family actually smirking and laughing at a gas station named Flippers that said it was an arcade. For 10+ years we never stopped.

Once I got into pinball (when covid started) you start looking for places. So glad Flippers is there. The owner is a super nice, down to earth guy that knows how to take care of his machines and loves to do it.

It's a bit of a money/tourist trap for the kids but the new arcade games are pretty cool! I highly recommend the Rabbit VR ride!

Flippers is the best! I was just there last Friday evening. I was surprised about the switch to tokens. I was only there for about an hour and a half and went through $5 of tokens. I am addicted to his Flash Gordon and Beatles machines. Half of the back room was open at the time of my visit. I also spent some time playing Fathom and his pretty cool Solid State version of King of Diamonds. I played Xenon and wanted to get into it, but gave up on it after two games. Flippers is seriously one of my favorite places on this planet. If you are a pinball enthusiast, you need to go to Flippers and support what is going on there.

If you're looking for something to do Thursday, Reclaim Arcade ( @ReclaimArcade) in Fredericksburg is having their pinball tournament.

Starts promptly at 6:30. Frenzy format so you play as many games as possible in 2 hours. I think the buy in is $5 as it's a sanctioned event.

The food is great! Secret menu item this week is an amazing burger. Brand new house beer battered onion rings as well. And the best selection of beer in town.

    See you there!

Leagues are available at several different locations in Maryland and Virginia and on several different week nights.

    Okay,

I'm looking to join a pinball league for the first time (family approved!). From what I can tell, the nearest one to Crofton Maryland is the FSPA league in Mom's Organic Market in College Park, but it starts at 8 in the evenings on Wednesdays. Does anyone know if there are any closer (or earlier) leagues in Maryland? I'm like a 200 year old blind dog that needs sleep.

    Thanks!
