With great sadness, I have to report that my favorite game at Moms in CP, has left the building (Godzilla Pro). Stranger things also exited stage left. The good news is that Scared Stiff Elvira, Addams Family, Munsters, Both Attack from Mars, Led Zepplin, Jurassic Park, Batman66, Dialed In, Creature Black Lagoon, Iron Maiden, and a dozen others are still there. All at .50 per play and in working condition.
Damn I never got a chance to even try GZ out there. I went there twice and both times it was not working.

Come to Ocelot in Sterling... Godzilla Premium!
Stranger Things with UV kit too

At some point I will make it out there.
But driving 20 mins vs 60 is quite a difference lol.

90 minutes for me, but I have been to that location twice and it is nice with Brews. But pinball is twice the price per game. $1.00 but they are mostly new games
Godzilla premium is also on location in Ashland, VA at Center of the Universe Brewing. We're having a frenzy tournament on January 31st! See COTU_Pinball on facebook or the IFPA link,
Stranger Things Pro
Star Wars Premium
BKSoR Pro
Led Zeppelin Premium
Godzilla Premium
Viking (bally)
The Walking Dead Pro

One has to acknowledge that Mom's .50c pricing is an anomaly and not to be expected elsewhere.
Looking forward to setting up Rush soon too

Should be less than 45mins unless you can't get to 270 quickly.
As we all know in the area... everything is 20+min and you can get anywhere in about an hour
CarPool in Fair Lakes no longer exists, but CarPool has moved back to Arlington, VA, and an FSPA league will be starting up there in a couple weeks!
Quoted from Rampton:Glad to play Godzilla at Moms this weekend. Stranger Things was off. Had a long session - 6+ hours having a blast and achieved my personal bests on ACDC, Medieval Madness and Hobbit. Totally sucked at Attack From Mars and Led Zeppelin. All good fun tho.
Is hobbit working properly? Usually when I go there there is at least one thing wrong. I still play the mess out of it tho. Hahaha
Quoted from Ecw0930:Is hobbit working properly? Usually when I go there there is at least one thing wrong. I still play the mess out of it tho. Hahaha
If there's been a problem while I've been playing it, I couldn't tell. But that maybe more down to my playing and knowledge of the game than anything. It's so much fun to play when you get the momentum going toward an Arkenstone Mode.
Quoted from Ecw0930:Is hobbit working properly? Usually when I go there there is at least one thing wrong. I still play the mess out of it tho. Hahaha
I've visited Mom's twice about a month apart and both times Hobbit had something wrong with it, lol.

Spinners has one

It seems to have something wrong with it on the regular. I should offer to buy it from him and save it from being on location. Hahaha
New pinball Barcade coming to Annapolis. Saw it under construction today. Here is their website. Look forward to checking it out when they open.

20220116_110838 (resized).jpg20220116_110841 (resized).jpgThanks, this Barcade in Annapolis is even closer than Mom's in College Park, for me in Bowie. The big parking garage is right next to it as well. I will visit it for sure when open. Hoping it is not all Video games, Video Slot machines, and shooter gun games in a booth type.
In other news, the Bally White Water at Crofton Bowling Alley has been improved some. Still has a credit dot. The ball gets stuck on a broken pop bumper. But it is still fun to play, while my son is bowling on the Special Olympics league Saturday mornings. The Replay is even set at a low 1,ooo,ooo.
IFPA tourney coming up at RPM - January 30 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$15 at the door or $10 for current RPM Pinball Patrons

Can't wait to check this out. It is right beside The Graduate, which has a pretty decent bar.

Annapolis is getting an arcade with a bar.
GameOn Bar + Arcade is set to open in early February. The property, located at 114 West St. next door to the Graduate Hotel in the Arts District, will feature a mix of basketball, skee-ball and pinball machines, video games and classic standup arcade games in the 3,630-square-foot space.
Co-owners Casey and Eli Linthicum plan to offer a full bar and a menu featuring food truck-inspired items, like Frito pies and toaster pastries provided by local vendors. The interior will feature 1990s-themed items, as well as wall art and graffiti done by local artists.
“Annapolis is a great spot. There are a lot of things happening down here, and we thought it would be a fun place to have a bar and arcade,” said Casey Linthicum, who recently sold a McDonald’s franchise she owned in Columbia and has a background in marketing and events. “We wanted to have a bar, but we also wanted to have something fun for people to do while they drink.”
An Annapolis liquor board virtual hearing to consider an application for a Class B-4, beer, wine and liquor license for the property is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 5. A Class B-4 license allows the sale of alcohol only with a meal, 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
The arcade will likely be the first of its kind in the city and will have classic arcade games like Pac-Man and Feed Big Bertha, which features a doll with a gaping lipstick-rimmed mouth that players have to throw balls into to score points.
Arcadegoers won’t have to lug their loose change with them, Linthicum said. Instead, there are plans to use a branded token system to operate the games. Credit cards will also be accepted to play.
The two-story brick building, owned by John Critzos II and Arlene Critz, was constructed in 1908 and once housed the Rescue-Hose Company fire station. The city sold the fire station building in the 1980s to finance a new station on Taylor Avenue.
In recent years, the property was occupied by two wine bars, Crush Kitchen & Winehouse and its predecessor The Purple Tooth, before the brewery brought its operation from the Eastern Shore.
Building renovations to enclose a staircase and expand the bathroom to make it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act are ongoing, the owners said.
The property has a large outdoor patio, which the owners hope to use for outdoor movie nights and other events. There are also plans to include fire pits during the cooler months.
The property has been vacant since 2020 when Chesapeake Brewing Company, which had operated in the space since 2016, closed down.

Reinforcing the case for people to go to Mom's in College Park.
1. Lots of great pinball machines in good condition.
2. Games cost half the price of other places.
3. College Park happens to be located closer to many people.
I've only been to Mom's 3 or 4 times, but had a wonderful time every trip.
I also enjoy Spinners in Frederick. Different atmosphere and a wide variety of pinball machines. I enjoyed some of the newer Sterns they had the last time I was there, plus had a great time on Pinbot, Jackbot, Paragon, Gottlieb Rock, and Black Hole.
Scott (owner of Moms) is gonna do his thing regardless
Game condition will vary, but is well above 'random route' spot. Obviously anytime you have that many games in one spot, it's both a blessing and a curse. Curse that its so difficult to keep everything tip top at once, a blessing that if something is down you can just find something else to play
Many FSPA league locations will be doing their week 0 (welcome non competitive week) next week. You can register for the leagues here: https://linktr.ee/FSPApinball

Mustang sally brewing in chantily is having their informal week 0 for league AND unboxing Rush tonight! Go check it out
Another great lunchtime at Mom's in College Park, Md. with my son. We had the whole place to ourselves and dropped $20 - 50Cents at a time. Woohoo!!! I was getting really good at the Iron Maiden Pinball, because I would get that replay knock on ball 2 or 3. First time I finally got really deep into Scared Stiff Elvira. I love when you complete all the tasks/shots and she says things to you, like you never heard before. Creature of the Black Lagoon keeps letting me down, as I cannot figure out how to score better. It drains a lot, but I keep playing it. A new favorite of mine and my son is The Munsters. I trapped a ball at the Herman Magnet and then a second ball got trapped behind that ball. Ball search finally showed up releasing a multiball. Attack From Mars has its rumble shaker back operating. Which must be set on HIGH, when you destroy a spaceship. That is another favorite. Good Times. And they just added a RUSH tonight.

I’m probably going to Moms on Friday and I’m a bit disappointed I never got to try out Godzilla there. I’m gonna be at a friends house who lives like 8 minutes away so we are gonna head there for a little bit.
I know it’s been mentioned before but I have to throw it out there again and give some props to Flippers Arcade down in Grandy, NC! What an amazing place! Always clean, always getting the newest games in (LEs a lot of the times), Insider Connected on a ton of games, and $15 for all day play! I’m lucky (or not depending on how you look at it) that it isn’t closer (about a little over an hour drive) or we’d be there all the time! Definitely worth a trip if you’re anywhere near the Virginia Beach, OBX area!

I'd be there monthly!
Glad to see them doing so well after the weather damage they took.
Owner is a great guy and their games are the best maintained I've ever been around for a location. Only been twice (on one OBX trip) but I'm planning on visiting every time I go. Northern VA is a good hike to there.
Flippers is my favorite, then Mom's, then Spinners. I easily spend half of my time in the back room with all of the older machines. Play the old ones for an hour and then into the front room to play the modern ones. Back and forth. The hours pass so quickly. Two weeks ago I was there and had the entire pinball rooms to myself for 2 hours. An amazing collection of fantastic pinball machines. I can't recommend Flippers enough.

There are close to a dozen pins now on route in the area. SoMD Pinball had been grinding for almost 4 years now to grow location pinball in the area. Private collections exploded during this same time period. You name it, one of us probably have it to play at this point. Big things still to come in SoMD!

Great to hear! I grew up there but moved away after college and my parents just finally moved away a couple years ago after 50+ years down there. So I'm familiar with dealing with being at the edge of the earth
