Just an FYI, Pinball Life has 192 X 64 dmd's in stock. $499. Have not seen any for sale in some time now.

Sounds like the taped connector is the 12v upgrade/service bulletin from sega that fixed the large dmd reset issue. So don't think that is related to your problem.

Does anyone know where you can get insert decals for this game? I removed my mylar and a couple lifted. Thanks much!

Make sure the coin door is closed (or the cherry switch is depressed) should work then. It is a safety feature that disables the higher voltage stuff when the door is open.

Quoted from upsfeedr:

Looking to buy the Complete LED Kit for my MSF.. Anyone tell me the best kit to buy and where and all that I need
thanks

Cointaker's kit is good. Color matches the inserts and doesn't use color in the gi so you can actually play the game. You can get it with or without flasher bulbs I think. With the exception of some of the backbox flashers (blues) I wouldn't use the led flashers on the playfield. Just my opinion. Also, you can save a bit of money if you want to make a list yourself and buy the separate.

I did. Tried heat gun first and burnt a plastic. Then tried freeze method next and a couple of insert decals (the two at the bottom of the ramp) came off. Then flour and alcohol to get the glue off. Yep, it was a disaster...

Be careful with the airtronics ones. At some point they changed the wiring pin out but did not change the model number. I found an article about in the past when I was changing mine. I will look for it and post it here if I can find it.

I know that Airtronics changed their wiring at some point. I had a similar issue in the past. See if this helps:

Coils themselves rarely go bad in my experience(unless they get stuck on and burn) try just changing the sleeve inside of it first, that usually causes weak coil.

Coil sleeve (like flipper coils and others). Should solve the weak throwing issue, See 7B for part number, or get a full game kit from Marco or PinballLife and change as needed. Regarding the servo and servo driver board, if I remember correctly, both were bad on mine. I think the board has a led on it that would indicate if it was good. The servo itself is a little tricky since the wiring order is different on some replacement servos. I think I made a post earlier in this thread addressing this issue.
