The head on my MSF will only turn from left to right (from the creature's perspective).
I force it to his left, the head comes back to the right and stays there.
Is this indicative of a servo failure or a board failure?

I would be willing to bet the servo is going bad. Take the head off and check the servo. Does it make any clicking sounds when the servo moves? Does the output gear spin and doesn’t stop? Also check to see if he servo horn that is attached to the head isn’t stripped.
