Here's what I did for my backbox lamps. There aren't any blinkers on the playfield. The main thing is to do what makes you happy! (And that will probably be by trial and error).

Were they all necessary? No, the MPU was the only one in real trouble. The fact that it was a nice package deal from Fred (who is doing great things for this hobby with his own PCB hobby) was a bonus too. If I had fifty tables this wouldn't have happened though.
