Mark Clayton is the owner of Pinball Pal and it's sole employee. If you have an order in you may have to be patient. He's a great guy, a friend and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Posted on RGP this morning:

This past Sunday night, Mark was rushed to the hospital with what the
Dr's called "Hypertension induced cerebral hemorrhage", He's been in
the stroke ICU at Westchester Medical Center since then. I've met with
his Doctors the last couple of days and here is the latest as of last
night. He is being medicated to lower/ control blood pressure and
reduce swelling of his brain/ and to try and get the bleeding stopped.
As of yesterday's CAT scan, it still showed bleeding occurring. Given
his condition, surgery was considered too risky. He was awake
yesterday and had a little to eat and tried to talk to me a bit, but
all he could muster was some facial gestures and some garbled( very)
words.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I will be up there later
this morning to see him and post here if there is any news.

Is this the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla NY? I'm not from that area, have no idea.

If it is they have on their website an area where a greeting card email to the patient can
be sent from the website.

I, too, am very sad to learn of this. I do not recall having spoken to him before, but I have also ordered parts from him which have been great. And, quite, like some of you I also recently got items from his Pinball Pal site. The company he ran has been excellent!

No matter about the pinball, though, as I do wish him all the best and hope that he has a full and speedy recovery as the world needs as many nice and good people as it can get.

Guys and gals, eat right and exercise.

Hypertension is not something to joke around with.

+1!
Without Mark's great products in place, pinball machines wouldn't get the HUO pampering they deserve- and THAT would be a very scary thought.
All the best Mark!!!

That's sad news, wishing all the best.

#38 3 years ago

Oh wow, I had no idea. I had placed an order a few weeks ago which I haven't yet received. Just did a search here on the forums to see if anyone else was experiencing delays and found this thread.

Get well soon Mark!

Umm, what does Clay Harrell have to do with Mark Clayton?

#43 3 years ago

Mark is in physical therapy and has a lengthy road to recovery. Anything can happen but given the nature of his injury it may be a long time before we hear from him again. He has good friends tending to him.

Isn't that Clay F. Harrell of http://www.pinrepair.com/

#45 3 years ago

Update: Clay Harrell post this yesterday on RGP:

"I talked to Mark yesterday. His mind is fine, but his motor skills
are impaired. He talks well, but you can tell, he just can't get
the words out as well as he would like (slightly garbled, but
very understandable.) He seems to be in good spirits too.
No access to email, so don't email him, he won't see it. Mark
doesn't seem too interested in computers right now, just
wants to get his motor skills back to 100%. He's having problems
with his right side, so there's work to done there. Mark has also
lost *a lot* of weight (he looks good, but you would not recognize
him.) He probably needs to eat more frankly, but to me at least,
he looks fit (though doctors may not agree.) I really enjoyed talking
to him, and hope he felt the same way"

Please give him our Very Best Wishes for a speedy recovery!

#49 3 years ago

Just received a refund for my order I placed a while back. Very sorry to hear of his condition. Glad to know I wasn't waiting because a trusted pinball vendor was slacking off. I'll be there when things change, ready to do business again.

All the best to him during his recovery.

Brian
