Well phew, what a game for the Gators. Let's lose an 18 point lead, just to make it exciting...

Man these kids from Wofford can shoot.

They're going to need that asset what with Kentucky up next.

UC Irvine (70) beats Kansas State (64)

    Go Anteaters ZOT!!!

Virginia is losing by 6 pts at halftime to a 16 seed,
so UCI's path to elite 8 is easier, if that holds.

    BIG if
    Enjoy the victory my friend.
Is it true this is UCI' s first tournament victory?

    #56 5 years ago

Sorry Tom, but the Ducks will kick UCI ass

I have a financial interest in KY and this game makes me nervous. Wofford reminds me of Loyola of last year but with better shooters.

That was an impressive win, congrats. Kansas St. is no joke.

    We will see.
While I am now a resident of Oregon,
I have got to have faith in my alma mater.

This being UCIs 2nd invite to the big dance (they gave Louisville a scare 2 yrs ago)
and tonite was their 1st win ever in the NCAA tourney,
I will savor the moment for now.

Wishful thinking that UVA would not be able to come back in 2nd half over a 16 seed,
but look what happened last year. It just shows me that Virginia is not invincible.

    #60 5 years ago

I think UVA got the monkey off their back with 5:00 left in the first half and will roll the next two teams in their way to the elite eight.

    #61 5 years ago

    Every Man An Anteater

    #62 5 years ago

We are getting our butts kicked

    #63 5 years ago

How are you guys doing in your brackets?
I didn't pick any low seeds making it deep into Elite 8.

    Go Purdue! Go LSU!

    #64 5 years ago

    UVA all the way!

    #65 5 years ago

    Uci has made a
    Run!
Anything can happen at this point

    #66 5 years ago

Anteaters were looking so good those 1st 8 min of 2nd half, to retake the lead
but then Oregon finally wakes up.

    #67 5 years ago

12 seed Oregon is the only surprise if they hang on and win. Auburn should have been the 4 seed instead of Kansas as they had just had a great run of form/games.

Essentially the final sixteen is all 1 through 4 seeds except one 12 seed Oregon. I don’t ever remember the seeds holding form like this before.

    Congrats
    but you got to admit
you had to be nervous there for a while.
    Too many turnovers for UCIrvine

    Good game!
Yeah, I was sweating it out a bit there. Thank goodness for Kenny Wooten, he saved the day.
Don't think the Ducks will make it past Virginia, but who knows?

I just read that in 2009 the same exact seeds made it to the sweet sixteen. region seeds: 1234, 1234, 1235, 123 12

    #71 5 years ago
    Quoted from Silverballer:

I don't really care who wins as long as KU loses.

Always rooting against Duke. The ending to yesterday's game was agonizing.

No kidding, I have Duke losing to VT... we can always hope

    Cinderella
is virtually dead in this year's tournament...
    no... wait...
What's this!? A single #12 is left alive to carry on!
This year's last remaining possible Cinderella wears green and yellow:
    GO DUCKS!

    #74 5 years ago

I filled out my very first bracket for work. I've got Duke, Gozanga, Purdue, and Auburn in the final four with Duke beating Auburn in the final.

I also picked all odd numbered seeds.

Yep, I was gonna change it too.

    #77 5 years ago

My South division is a bust. Had K-State going all the way to the National Semi's.

Have Gonzaga in the final beating out UNC. Go Zags!

Go Ducks! (well, actually I have Virginia but would rather see Oregon win)
Also Virginia tech, Michigan state, Gonzaga, Tennessee, North Carolina & Kentucky...… Keep my bracket alive.

    #80 5 years ago
    Quoted from dasvis:

Yep, I'm pulling for Purdue and LSU, but in most of my brackets I don't have them making it to the finals.

    #81 5 years ago

Gonzaga survived even though they looked like shit, so that’s good for me. Prudue/Tennessee was very entertaining. Hoping I can make it until the end of the UVA game, it’s pretty late and the whiskey has been flowing.

    #82 5 years ago

Purdue moving on after making me sweat my ass off.

    #83 5 years ago

Looks like I am all in on Gonzaga now.
Oregon played too sloppy to move on.

    #84 5 years ago

    Auburn smoked NC.
That blows up a lot of brackets.

    Lsu lost to Mich St.

    #85 5 years ago

UVA vs Duke, UVA wins the tournament. That's still in play for me.

    #86 5 years ago

    UVA. I hate Duke.

    #87 5 years ago

    Gonzaga

    #88 5 years ago

I like Zion to go on to an Anthony Mason type career

    Gonzaga vs. UVA championship.

    Quoted from Erik:

Anthony Mason was a nice tough guy for the Knicks with decent ability. Zion is on another level.

At the very least, he’s an 18/10 guy in the Pros.

    #91 5 years ago

Will the horseshoe ever fall out of Duke’s ass? Two games in a row with guys missing point blank shots`? Wtf?

    Go odd numbered seeds!

Agree, Oregon went stone cold the last 5-min of the game.
My bracket has Gonzaga going all the way.

    #94 5 years ago

    anyone rooting for Kentucky?

On the Women's side Oregon is still alive!!
They beat my lady JackRabbits from So.Dakota State.

    ZAGs lose
    There go all my brackets.

What a heck of a game.

I didn’t want to see Purdue or UVA lose.

    #100 5 years ago

Wow! That’s why March Madness is so great. Two incredible games, that UVA/Purdue game was an all time classic.
