My daughter showed me this and I thought it was cool. It's not pinball but looks like it uses a lot of steel balls and piano wire. Thought you all might get a kick out of it.

It is cool. I'm not aware of any piano wires used; there are guitar strings, xylophone bars, rubber membranes for drums, maybe some other stuff I forgot. LEGO parts are used for the sequencing of the small ball bearings (around the size of pachinko balls, not pinballs).
But you're way behind. 
That was done years ago, and since then the artist has been working on a much-upgraded version. Lots of "update" videos on YouTube tracking his progress. Some fascinating CNC and 3D printing applications involved. Also, the whole Wintergaten project -- this artist along with some like-minded people -- is worth a look-see. They are blending music and engineering in fascinating ways.
