None in malls around here either. I was living large for a year when the NPM was in Baltimore, but that is also gone now.

I remember in the late 70's and early 80's whenever my parents went to a mall, I'd go and see if it had an arcade and many did called Aladdin's Castle with usually several pinballs. Those days are long gone and can't remember the last time I saw a pin in a mall.

Ha...we had an Aladdin's Castle here...it's where I would get a crowd by doing all the Mortal Kombat fatality's.....ahh good times....SFII was so popular back then they had a monitor on top of the cab so the crowd could watch....that's been gone for gotta be 10+ years.... .....Joey

I have one mall arcade nearby... no pins. Just crappy redemption to let the little bastards win giant pencils....

Well the malls died around here years ago....but my son plays ice hockey and the ice rinks are still kickin.........Joey

Are all those in the Buffalo area? Pretty sure that Funhouse is the one at Leisure Rinks in West Seneca. As for the others, feel free to add 'em to the map: http://buffalopinball.wordpress.com/where-to-play/

Yep I'm helping organize the tournament so if you have any questions let me know. The first one was a good time--we had 24 players of all skill levels so definitely come check it out even if you haven't played competitively before.

I put up a blog post a few days ago with details on how it'll run, check it out here: http://buffalopinball.wordpress.com/2014/07/18/summer-tournament-series-2-coming-up/

    Quoted from pinmister:

but nothing like the good old days of Tilt inside malls.

    Quoted from Shoot_Again:

Vancouver Mall aka westfield shopping center has no pins in TILT arcade

    Quoted from LaughingOtter:

A number of TILT arcades are still in operation in malls!

We have a TILT franchise arcade at our local mall in Michigan and it doesn't have any pins. that's just wrong. false advertising. they should be forced to change their name.

    Quoted from MrBally:

There is a lot of Bally and WMS machines in the West Edmonton Mall. Problem is, they are in the casino. They are all slot machines.

The last time I was in Las Vegas. I saw a WMS van, it was near midnight. I was thinking, could I spring a question on him regarding my Pin*Bot? LOL

The closest mall to me (Shore Mall just outside of Atlantic City) closed around a year ago. It had an arcade that included pins. The next closest mall to me has no pins. Here on the South Jersey shore, you need to go to the boardwalks to find pins. But most boardwalk arcades have nothing but cheesy redemption games.

Philosophical question: is there anything "redeeming" about "redemption" games?

    Quoted from davewtf:

Just curious if any mall arcades with pins exist and where they might be? Why? I don't know.

We used to have Tilt, Aladins Castle, Cyberstation, etc. Now it is Chucky Cheese and a small arcade more so in the ticket spitters.

    Quoted from Excalabur:

Australia (I used to live there) is still kicking with the mall arcades--there's a whole chain of them under the 'Timezone' brand. Some of them are street retail (another thing the US doesn't have), but many are in malls of various sizes. They generally have a pin or two, but a few have a larger lineup depending on the franchisee: Timezone Gold Coast has about 8 pins, including all the most recent Sterns. Heck, they often have doubles of the newest game.

If you click on a location, they have a couple of pics of each site to give you an idea of what they look like.

very few left that i know of and there not the same as they were years ago. It kinda makes me sad i would spend hours after school at the mall in arcades.

We had Tilt at another mall in the 90s.

We have a huge Tilt here in the downtown mall in Indianapolis. However, there is not one pinball machine. Seems blasphemous to me to call the place Tilt and not have any pins.
