I wish I had more games that used one. Right now I have these games with shooter rods: Sharkey's Shootout, Maverick and Rescue 911. Today, in only 15 minutes and for $5, I made a 9 Ball shooter rod for Sharkey's that sells for $25+.

I bought a mini, 1.5", 9 ball from eBay for $5 and I already had a shooter rod with a cracked knob to use. I just wacked the plastic knob against the garage floor a couple of time and the knob broke easily into 3 pieces. I then drilled a 3/8" hole using a spade bit on my drill press, which would be easy to do with a clamp and a hand drill. Then I coated the knurled rod tip with epoxy and lightly tapped the rod into the ball with a rubber mallet.

Also you can buy blanks from Pinballlife.com
Great finishing touch.

Yup, only $4 for blanks.

Quoted from JeffLadder:

What does the R911 rod look like. That's the only game I have that doesn't have one

The one on mine is just a regular black knob. Trying to think of what I could use for a custom knob...

Quoted from fumbleflippers:

A request for what Maverick looks like too, I need to replace my shooter rod.

This is the knob on my Maverick, but my red is all rubbed off and I'll repaint the DE logo. Although I have a bunch of poker chips...stack them as deep as the current knob, glue together, drill a hole for the rod and epoxy in place. Will look nice and it's cheap as heck to do.

Thought something seemed familiar when I was making a 9 ball shooter rod for Cue Ball Wizard.

I made one years ago when I had Sharkey’s Shootout.
