    Quoted from uncivil_engineer:

I have a set of these I use when troubleshooting a game. Yes, you can use alligator clips on the ends of the breaker, they don't have to be attached to an old fuse. I have a couple that have a piece of wire soldered to the terminals leading to alligator clips. Just be careful that you don't accidentally short the two terminals on the fuse together while using them.

Thanks for the answer. So, I can attach the crocodile clips to each end of the fuse holder and not use a dead fuse at all? I will have to be extra careful when I try again as the last time the whole garage tripped and I thought I had blown up my prize possession.

    Quoted from YeOldPinPlayer:

Are you thinking the breaker won’t plug into that gadget? I was envisioning plugging in the breaker and using it until you solve the problem at which point you put a fuse back in and throw the breaker and breaker-holder back in your toolbox for next time.

That gadget thing still uses fuses, It just changes them to automotive fuses. So unlike the fusebreaker, when the automovie fuse blows, you need a new one.
When having issues with a game this testing can take enlessless amounts of fuses. Thats the tradeoff, one of the gadgets (plus a shitload of fuses) versus 4+5 diff'rent fuse breakers.

Unless I'm completely misreading it, which is always possible!

    Quoted from simonlindsay:

Following on from my previous request, is the only way to use these fusebreakers is to solder a dead fuse to it or can you just use crocodile clips on each prong of the breaker and then on each end of the fuse holder? Here is a pic of the breaker that I am using.

Sure, if you don't know how to solder. Which would be embarrassing for a 17 year pinsider

That gadget thing still uses fuses,

It appears to me the gadget accepts blade style interface, the kind the circuit breakers use. So just put your breaker in there instead of soldering to an old fuse. You can use the same gadget for whatever breaker the circuit in question needs.

It would be useless for pinball if it just required you to test with blade fuses instead of the 1 1/4”.

If you don't want to mess soldering a fuse on them. I sell a set of circuit breakers with or without fuses solder to them.

Yes, that is correct. You can use them without the dead fuse.

I am debating adding the flexible fuse holder to the basic kits. Curious to know if there would be enough interest in them? I think they are brilliant.

A few photos of the FlexFuse https://www.thingsnotable.com/ with troxel 's breakers installed. They come in a package of three. Shipped was about $21. troxel will be offering the FlexFuse as an option soon.

If you use this https://www.thingsnotable.com/ you don't even have to solder the breaker, just plug in whatever size you need.

Thanks for the tip YeOldPinPlayer , I ordered a set and I’m very pleased with the quality!
Now I’ll make up two leads with alligator clips and have both options.

I was able to partner up with FlexFuses and now have them in my shop. I have them listed individually or with the circuit breakers.
