We are in the same boat, but you are way ahead of me on your build. Well done so far!
Do you care to share the various measurements for the display panel you cut? This is one of the things I haven’t figured out yet.
Coindoor looks great. Mine was drilled & I’m debating how to repair/replace the outer skin. Also need to source some classic Stern legs.
I had to break the bank for a Stern 4-bank, but you did a great job on that conversion.
Following!

Not sure if op used this or not but if you print this at full size in poster format in adobe, it’ll print out at the correct size to use as a template: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7uz61811dta1cx6/Quicksilver_light_box.zip?dl=0&file_subpath=%2FLight+Board+Quicksilver.pdf

Very cool

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on building these up.

I built my own wolfpacctech version of the bally/stern displays. If you have basic soldering, you'll do just fine. The only thing you don't realize is how long they each take. I think with verifying etc etc on each display, it was ~45min per display. I love DIY though and saving money, so totally worth it to me. That kit looks very similar so I would guess around that time or so. The new led displays POP and it was nice to get a red, instead of orange to try and color match the game BG.
EDIT: I will say, I have a tabletop board holder (panavise) to work on boards and used it for the displays, totally feel like it helped.
Very nice project man, just ran into it. How much do you think you’ll have in it when it’s all finished?
I got a donor machine for $300, so that will keep my total cost around $3000.
Plus a bunch of hours.
Quoted from Jjsmooth:Surface mounts not as difficult as I imagined.

Shit, if you can do it anyone can!

Still trying to form a proper response, Bob.
One that cuts deep, but spares your tender feelings..

Oh man, thank you for this suggestion. I struggled last week trying to solder my rectifier board with a "less than adequate" hands free armature. It never occurred to me to search for something like this. Going to make soldering my LED displays so much easier. ORDERED! Many thanks!
And the QS is looking good!

Too dark in the middle needs PinStadiums.
Quoted from Bud:How does it play? Nice job
Going thru switch adjustments, I'll have a better idea tomorrow.
And thanks.

I'm not sure if there is room to mount them here, Bob..

Plays well, except I'm needing caps for the target and rollover switches. Really makes a difference for accurate scoring.
I moved it to my bsmt, and will solder in the caps this week.
Displays look nice btw, just one remark, you probably used the comma jumpers on the wrong pads as I saw from the pictures.
7 digits displays deserve the commas, if you don't have the pin strips anymore just let me know in private message.
