Thought I would share this with the pinball community! Why waste money replacing your old dull balls when you could do this!
How much different would aluminum balls play? They'd be lighter and not be affected by magnets. Sorta like a ceramic ball but not as light.
I remember in the 70's collecting cigarette foil lining from discarded packs , rolling it into a ball the size of a large grapefruit , thinking we could cash it in for money
I wonder how thick the solid uniform surface is from the torching.
I suspect these would deform and deteriorate pretty quickly bashing against steel in pinball.

I’ve seen the before and after of machines leaving your shop and the magic you work. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if you found a technique for doing this.
