Quoted from Andy_B:

So everyone from Scotland is a freak?

Correct me if I am wrong, But are not kilts a bit longer than that?
If I was Scottish, I would deff rock a kilt, as a buddy of mine in the military was and he would were one all the time to bars. Man did that start a lot of fights!!! I think he liked to fight now that I think about it!
Back to point, Fry the Som Bit&* No way in this world should we tolerate this!

Quoted from icust298:

Now there's something important to get to the bottom of.....
That's SS Billiards in MN, that's LTGs business, if I remember correctly.

Re-read the thread and you will see there is nothing to "get to the bottom of" when it comes to Lloyd! But you solidified why Robin has this in the basement!

Quoted from Andy_B:

So everyone from Scotland is a freak?

re-read the post as I think you read it wrong......he stated that his first judgement was the best one and that first judgement was that he was a freak! The second judgement was that he was from Scotland since he was wearing a kilt!

I guess the sarcasm there didn't come across. I was attempting to say that figuring out where a BBB was on location wasn't really as much of a concern as someone possibly molesting kids.

yeah I missed it (sarcasm)!

Thank you Robin. This is important.

Quoted from jake35:

Where was this taken? Not every day a bbb is on location.

Quoted from robin:

Beause of comments like this.
Look, I'm equally appaled as you all are by yet another case of a suspected child molester in the pinball scene. It's nuts. I've got two little daughters too. But on the other hand I do not want Pinside being the host of these hateful comments and a display of lynch mob mentality.
So if people can stop posting comments such as the ones I've quoted above then I'll move this thread back to the Lounge > Serious section. Anyone not complying with this will get their post deleted and a perm eject at the very least.
Thanks.

Robin, thank you.

Correct.

Randy started off as a customer at SS Billiards and Lloyd saw him for what it was worth. A cross-dressing guy, that was married, that enjoyed pool and pinball. It is the screwed up system in Minnesota that did not require Randy to register as an offender from his 2000/2001 conviction of sexual assault of a male minor. While Randy is 100% responsible for his horrendous sexual deviations, the State of Minnesota should shoulder some responsibility for not having him on the offender list. Wash, rinse, repeat, and 16 years later arrested for the same thing. Another child robbed of his personal dignity and scarred for life.

If posts aren't being moderated, you can't blame the posters. Such posts are nothing new and it's been that way here for a long time. You're reaping the behaviors sown on the Pinside forums. You reap what you sow; this proverb is even in the bible.

It's a simple observation that such posts have been permitted since there is no moderation, like so many countless other similar posts strewn all over pinside; even if they are against the community guidelines and well into the threshold of reportable abuse reasons. Are they against the rules or not? I have no idea since Robin as Pinside founder has issue with them yet they remain unmoderated on the forum. ??? A bizarre contradiction .

It's not the rules that make the forum content, it's how those rules are applied (or not applied). Pinside is well known for no moderation of such posts or anything but the most egregious content. Even you Robin have seen by the posts you quoted that there has been no moderation there. Inflammatory, vulgar, trolling and extreme posts are everywhere on the Pinside forums that remain unmoderated, this thread is the standard for Pinside, not the exception. People with 20, 30, 40, 50+ moderations are doing the same thing they always have. Nothing here surprises me any more.

And suddenly we are strangely supposed to hold a single thread to a higher standard than the rest of Pinside; now there are different rules for different threads. Bizarre . Any chance of getting moderation more consistent with the rules for the rest of Pinside?

Never seen a man from Scotland in a kilt wear high heels. So, no, definitely not freaks

I didn't know that Minnesota doesn't have sex offender registration, that's f'ed up. I'm a police officer in Chicago, for over 20 years and I can tell you these people don't stop or "get better", they are hard wired this way. This is why sex offender registration is needed because I don't care how many years have passed since their conviction, they don't change their ways. They should be incarcerated for life imo.

Well i don't know if everyone's a freak in Scotland, i don't live there. What i can tell you is a man wearing a mini skirt with his balls hanging out for all to see is a freak. But i see what you did there , trying to turn it in to something it's not, nice try.

They do have a registry, but there is a loophole to get around it that can be granted in sentencing.

i read that everyone's a freak in lithuania. however, in all fairness, it was hand written in paint marker in the bathroom at my bar. so i can't vouch for its accuracy.

this thread is amazing for so many reasons!

Found this odd. In researching Randy Delfel, 50, from MN I found an article on another major child molester from MN, that was a monster of young boys for two decades, and who was a weekend pilot that belonged to a small airport group. The article - http://www.startribune.com/nov-28-2013-ramsey-youth-program-volunteer-accused-of-abusing-boys/233623131/ - quotes the president of another chapter, Randy himself, on his feeling about this creep. Quite rich, Randy's hypocrisy.

*********** ...

Chapter President Randy Delfel added that he was told Geyen had no criminal record that a background check would detect. “You roll the dice with what you do in this world,” Delfel added, noting that Geyen was not a member of his chapter. “What do you do? As a chapter, you try to do the best you can.”

***************

I was pulled into reading the article because of the many parallels with Randy life, and now I find out their paths crossed and they were possibly friends.

Nobody is as sad, disturbed and appalled about this than I am. I am Randy’s ex-gf. I met him back in 2007 at work. He was an IT professional at a Fortune 500 company. I knew him as a geek who was into tech, gaming, pinball and aviation. He had many friends and was well liked. I was with him for years and it never occurred to me that he had a problem and a record. He was almost never around children and wasn’t planning on ever having children. Randy didn’t crossdress until he entered a Halloween contest towards the end of our relationship. He never wore makeup and believe it or not there were always pantyhose and underwear under that skirt. He was a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy up until then. After he won that Halloween contest he decided to dress up for Pinball Expo. I was never comfortable with him doing that. In the end I left him for a different reason. Randy had an entire basement full of pinball machines and I had helped him work on them. He was remarkable at soldering and was able to fix many EMs. I am sure that his wife will be selling all of them now and all of his airplanes too.

He looks like he’s 90 years old in that picture.

What he has is an illness with his pedophile addiction to young boys. I guess any illness can go into remission. I just have to wonder if that stupid halloween contest and his new found like for cross-dressing was a direct trigger to pull his tendencies "out" of remission?

He’s 98, the picture was taken in 2010 which is the same year he broke his hip.
