It seems my mailprogram has cut the link into 2 parts for some receipients.
Please make sure to paste everything manually to your browser
got my link (had to manipulate the link as mentioned above) from rappelbox, and received key from lucky1. Key has been fwd'd
Quoted from ImNotNorm:I forwarded the Key link to rappelbox as well.
Thanks so much malenko, lucky1 and rappelbox for everything!!
I also did the same!! Thanks so much. This is some amazing work. So excited to install it.
Guessing I'm too late to the group buy party by far, eh? Stupid life getting in the way of pinball research
Quoted from statictrance:Guessing I'm too late to the group buy party by far, eh? Stupid life getting in the way of pinball research
i couldnt pull the trigger either right now but rappelbox said a future group buy is not out of the question
seems like i need a dedicated thread for the next group buy?!
There will be one within the next 2-3 weeks but before i have to finish this one and the other orders i have... The sega panels gathered a huge amount since I revealed they can do 16 colors with pin2dmd-xl

Yes please! Or can we sign up somehow?

Shipping starts this week and takes normally 4-10 working days. You'll be sent a shipping message and a link where you can track your parcel.

I start a new thread soon, and will inform you here and in other related threads as well, but I really need to catch up with actual orders first.
No worries or hurry Rappelbox - Whenever you get around to the next group order, but I'm in no major hurry given my current backlog of work. Especially with the marathon that is ReplayFX/Pinburgh coming up next weekend

I certainly understand! No rush.
I’ve got a borrowed DMD in the machine now and just placed a large order at Comet so I should probably save up some money anyway.
Hello Malenko, your work is very impressive.
I have Gotlieb Super Mario and I would try to colorise it but in dont find how start the project. Where are you find the animation for make colorisation ?

It is a mixture of keeping an colorizing the original graphics and replacing it with sprites from e.g. here

Super Mario has some limitations due to some strange DMD signals of early Gottlieb machines.
I think he means recording game play. You just open the pin2dmd application, and tick the box that says "start dump" and it will create a file in the directory that you need to gz compress. http://pin2dmd.com/tool/
This involves having the pin2dmd powered up, connect to the DMD datacable in the pin, and the USB cable connected to your PC/laptop.
As for the sprites I did a combination of editing arcade sprites, SNES sprites, and Genesis sprites. It got tricky because some sprites had more than 16 colors, and things like fireballs and sonic booms had their own palette not shared with the characters. I almost started ripping the gameboy sprites since they were lower resolution.
Thanks Malenko That's what I wanted to know.
I thought we could take the roms directly from pinball emulator to work on coloring.
Lucky1 what do you mean by limitations ? It seems to me the pin2dmd works on SuperMario3 with an external powersupply.

Currently AddCol is not possible on the early Gottlieb machines, but you can colorize with replacement and palette switch.

Unfortunate that there are no dumps (yet) for the Stargate game on the SNES and Megadrive ... like SF it would benefit so much from having some decent, faithful sprites.
Appologies. I've been pretty buy lately. I'll PM Rappel and see what's good. I saw that he hadn't logged on here since the 20th. I hope he's okay as I know he was discharged from the hospital recently.

Dont need video game dumps to draw sprites. I dont have access to a stargate game or I'd give it a go.

If it requires no special software to get the sprite dumps, you'd perhaps be able to do it via one of the SNES or Megadrive / Genesis emulators.

I dont know why youre hung up on using SNES/Genesis sprites. I would just draw them by hand. If you want to rip console sprites, SNES is easiest because you can turn off layers and screen grab them.

I'm not, just gives some base material and makes the job easier of whomever is doing it. You may be willing and talented enough to redraw or draw new sprites ... others won't be, but will be perfectly capable of colouring existing ones.
Quoted from smitherssp:Anyone here like German porn?
I was also sent a pic of a lot of shipping labels. Stay tuned for details.
Quoted from smitherssp:How do you say "SHIP IT" in German? Tracking info/links should be on it's way later today.
I checked my email and I just got my shipping information from @rappelboxl!!!
Now the waiting game for it arrive from Europe
Quoted from smitherssp:Mine just hit the States!
That was quick!! Unfortunately I can't track my shipment
Damn you Canada Post!!!
