I have quite a few hobbies, so I belong to many forums and communities.
Pinside I believe to have the most hard headed stubborn members out of all them. It's almost ridiculous how many people have to learn the hard way NOT to preorder anything. I've only been around here a couple years and I know not to preorder and I don't see too many noobs with 0 pins pre-ordering a new one for 6-8 grand.
So what that tells me is, most if not all of you guys pissed off about code updates should have known better.
Some of these pins cost 8 freaking thousand bucks, would you buy an $8,000 car without test driving it?
Only other place I see the complaints about software updates is with cell phone and gadget owners, you knew it didn't have the software you wanted when you bought it, you knew there would be delays (there always is), so if it's not good enough for you right this second, wait until it is before getting your wallet out.
Most of the pins I see complaints around here about are sought after, IMO, sell it and buy something you know works the way you want it already.
