It took Stern less than one business day to resolve the issue; why all the drama/concern/anger/worry?
Do we really need a support/sympathy group for this?
First world problems, I suppose. Well that, and "It's Pinside."
Pinball machines are rarely perfect, even out of the box.
I don't know how that coin door bolt became lodged the way it did, but it should have been pretty obvious to find, as large as it is, even with Zimas.
And for those of you complaining about Stern's QA, just ask LTG and some others that have been around the *industry* (not hobby) for many years, and they'll tell you Williams and whoever were worse.
I operate pinball machines, and occasionally have issues with defective/poorly manufactured parts on newer Sterns, but overall Stern has done a great job resolving said issues. (Well, there is still the POS Tesseract on Avengers, and Wolverine on X-Men, I suppose.)
It's not like you have x thousands of dollars spent on something that will probably never be built, and you can't get your money back. I can totally see the need for help/collaboration there.
