I watched a YouTube video the other night of a guy that was using a magnetized Weller tip to attract out the left over pins as he added solder from the component side. Pretty slick.
I have a new Weller WLC100 station and unfortunately the tip was not magnetic.
Does anyone sell magnetized Weller tips to fit a WLC100?

if the tip's the correct material you could just magnetize it yourself

I wouldn't have thought the pins were magnetic though

The pins are sticking to the soldering iron tip from the surface tension of the solder not magnetism.

He's using a weller wtcpt station. I have the same one. The tips have a magnet in the base that controls the temp via a switch in the handle. It can work against you at times. Try soldering SMD components with it! The component sticks to the tip.
