It's still not going to grab it 100% of the time. No way. Sorry. Hopefully they can resolve it with more SW updates, but I'm not going to be hopeful. Probably take yet another board revision.

Quoted from cpsystem3:Did you try the revised magnet board in your machine? I experienced a night and day difference on mine.
Yes, and again, it's in no way catching the ball 100% of the time. Sure, it's better, but I'd say it's closer to 30-50%, at best. Previously it was under 10% for me. Not a single person with the revised board has reported 100%, or anywhere close to that. It's better, but it still needs work.
Quoted from Purpledrilmonkey:The issue with the '100% fixed locks' statement is i believe there are 3 seperate issues different people have to varying degrees:
1. Phantom Hammering
2. Ball is grabbed and dropped (ie not locked)
3. ball will not be detected, and play continues as normal.
The statement "locks 100% of the time" i have come to believe refers to #2 - people were getting balls caught, but the game didnt detect them, and aborted the lock sequence and dropped the ball. So now, WHEN and IF the game grabs the ball it "locks 100% of the time." This board revision appears to address this, and actually probelm #1 quite successfully as well.
#3 is the one the rest of us are clamouring for - i get 99% detection on slow to medium moving shots, but the High Speed shots across the plate are at best 50/50, probably worse. I don't believe this update or board addresses this in any substantial capacity.
Ding. You hit it on the head.
