Hi

I have a fault with a Williams Magic City machine I have been given.

Details in the video.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks everybody for viewing the video & posting help. It’s appreciated

I’ve been through some bits & bobs and as mentioned when I’ve set the score to random numbers the first three reels reset when power up but the fourth doesn’t.

I’m guessing it might the solenoid that controls the reel although there is a loose cable in the area that I can’t see where it has come from.

It’s not long enough to reach the fourth reel but might be a loop wire?

Hopefully a picture will be attached

Ps it does bring the lock relay in by pressing the left flipper and lights on the back panel.

It’s the 1000s that doesn’t reset.

Yes it’s a solid yellow wire which looks like it links through but each tab has two wires & there are already two wires on the 10s reel so I wasn’t sure it came from here. There is only one wire on the 1s Reel but thought this might be the last link so discounted this. I’ve looked for evidence of where it has broken off from & it’s not clear.

Bit of a sod really

Unrelated to the fault I love the look of the machine but it need some tender loving care.

The back glass has some paint deterioration which I would like to get sorted once it’s running.

It was built in 1967 which was when I was born too so sentimental value

The guy who gave it me knows the history.

Apparently it was collected from Weston supermare pier when then amusement arcade shut down many years ago.

The guy collected six & one was kept for himself which has been in his family since his kids were young (they’re the same age as me!)

The outside paintwork is tired but this is easy to repair & the legs are rusty but I’ve seen replacement legs for £70.

I’ve always wanted a pinball machine & am over the moon the customer has given it to me.

He knows I will get it working, tidy it up & pass it on to my kids.

All of this makes it valuable to me regardless of any market value.

I really do appreciate any help you guys are giving.

Thanks

Gavin
