Hi,

I recently picked up Magic City. It is missing what I believe was a playfield rollover button (see circled area in photo). The game never had the button present when I recieved it so I am not even quite sure what that part# is or what it looks like. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like something kicked it out of there, too deep to be a roll over ?

IPDB shows something in there. It says advance and points so it must be something like that. That time there were a lot of roll overs used. I hope somebody knows. I do wish they used more rollovers today. Much more class than a wire sticking up in a slot.

That has one of those plastic 'wiggly' roll over buttons...I think. I may have one from a Swingtime pf. I can look Mon. And let you know. Please remind me if you don't hear back.

I have a Magic City in my studio waiting to be restored. Unfortunately, my studio is about 15 miles away from home and I just got back from there. Next time I'm there I'll shoot a pic for you, but it may not be until Monday evening. Hopefully you'll have an answer before that but, if not, I'll post it here.
Cheers,
Art

That is what it is and it is white.
Great game and I regret selling mine.
They remade the BG, I think BAA has them.

Looks like old style roll over to me. prior to star shaped ones. I have no machine that takes these and no idea where to get them. best of luck.

Either of these two parts are probably what you need:

One is white which I think is the color your machine had. The other is red in color.

If you get the old style rollover buttons from PBR, you will also need the screw / fastener clip
that fits with the button assy.

Steve does have that part, I needed one for a Magic City I did a couple years ago. I decided to use a red button, though Cash is right (see IPDb as well) it should be white. I just wanted to dress it up a bit. Many other Williams games from that era also use those buttons. Alpine Club, Apollo/Blast Off, KickOff/Touch Down to name a few. Gottlieb used them briefly as well on a few games in the 60's. After star rollovers were created, they went the way of the Do-Do as they are hard to keep clean and adjusted (plus they fall out on occasion!) and deflect the ball sometimes with disasterous results.
