WOW!

Dream theme! Well done! One of my favorite movies of all time! Over the top ebay description to boot. That "Hand painted" back glass does the trick.

Oh, come on....Why so quick to remove the listing? There is nothing wrong with doing a retheme, just be honest.

The cab and backbox art are perfect. They nailed it.

#17 9 years ago

I thought it was a typo and you meant The Red Max.

#18 9 years ago

Better off with road kings

#19 9 years ago

Love the Interceptor on the side of the cab. Awesome!!

#21 9 years ago

It needs two score cards

1 Two men enter.
2 One man leaves.

I think art was well done.

That's awesome!!!!

God the second movie in the series scarred me for life as a kid. Definitely an amazing movie and definitely deserving of its own pin. I am surprised the trilogy did not get its own licensed pinball now that I think of it.

Awesome looking machine, are there any details on the sounds?

#26 9 years ago

You will probable know, bit there is a mad max remake in the planning. Good chance stern will pick it up i think.

THE BRONZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good use of a Stern Meteor. they should have used a nascar or Mustang. could have went really in depth with the rules and easy to include the car as toys.

I still love that ford Falcon. Impossible to find here as they were only AU release.

If you guys want to know a bit more about it, if you listen to pinheadz pod cast #6 there is an interview with the maker.
Yes it has the callouts and he has them nailed.
Meteor was used as it's the same year that mad max came out and he wanted it to tie it in with that year.

Quoted from swinks:

some better pics

Love how the first pic looks like the front side of a flyer.

Awesome, maybe you can help out Skid-b with the art on EoD.

Saw this in the flesh today at pinball spare parts. Nice looking machine.

He should sell this as a conversion kit. I don't know if Meteor will ever get any love from CPR or the other repro companies.

This is pretty bad ass... a new Mad Max pin would be awesome, but I would be happy to have this custom one too. As long as I am dreaming about possible new pin themes, I would also pay big bucks for a NIB "Calvin and Hobbes" or "Monster High" theme... I know Stern has been approached about "Hello Kitty" but doesn't think it has mass appeal. Not sure if "Calvin & Hobbes" would either but plenty of possible fun toys (red wagon on rails) and artwork (spaceman spiff, etc.) to dream about. I think "Monster High" would do well due to the art alone. With four movies (and more on the way) Mad Max would have a lot to draw upon for content.
