My Old Chicago resets fine, then scores 10 pts and goes to ball 2. (testing on one player game)

This usually only happens when the ball is in the outhole. If the ball is not in the outhole (PF is up, for example) it doesn't happen.

What could the 10 pt relay have to do with the outhole switch ? Or advancing to ball 2?

Wouldn’t the stuck switch continue endlessly to rack up points?

It doesn’t sound like a relay coil is stuck on, but I shall seek a closed switch!

Unfortunately, that wasn't it. The 10 pt relay pulses once and is done. All the play field & pop bumper 10 pt switches work correctly.

Yes. The machine resets, scores 10, and then kicks out the ball- at ball 2.

Good idea. Seems more likely than a short.

Found it. It was a switch behind a rubber at the top right. One that I'd adjusted too close because it wasn't making contact, naturally.
