Need some advice where to start. Failed the coil test. Ran the switch test and it def recognized when there was a ball there. I have checked all connections. It just stopped working. Where should I begin?? As always thanks in advance!!

No thoughts?

If the coil won't fire in the coil test, it is most likely a bad transistor. Check Q2 on the PPB board. It is a TIP36C. If it tests ok then check the pre-driver, Q24 on the CPU board. If both those check out ok. It might be the 7402 chip in position 12A on the CPU board. Hope this helps.

I would first make sure there is power to the coil and then do as action76 suggested.

How do I check power to the coil?? Is it possible the coil itself is shot?

Quoted from joekiss:

How do I check power to the coil?

To test the supply voltage, put your red lead on one of the coil leads and the black lead on ground. Meter set on DC 100 volt scale and game on.
