Well I finally decided to begin my playfield swap on my LW3. Slowly removing the top, and moving over some of the light PCB's. Don't expect this to be done right away, as it will take me a few months. But will update with pics as I continue to work on it.

Sweet. Good luck. If you need any help with putting stuff together I have the game so ask away. I doubt you will though. It is not like it is a TZ or something.lol

Thanks. I did a Black Knight, and just looking at this, LW3 should be a lot simpler.

Glad to see LW3 getting some love. A very under rated game IMHO. Good luck with the swap!

Lots of pics, most are for my reference, but they may be able to help others if needed.

That's it for now. Hoping to have the entire top half of the playfield stripped by tomorrow. Will update with more pics as I progress through this.

Man, your old playfield looks better than most LW3's I've played. And congrats on tackling a playfield swap without a rotisserie. That's how I did my AFM swap and it's totally doable. Keep those pics coming!

Great job, keep the pictures coming. I am in the middle of a restore myself with my LW3. I hope you don't mind but I am saving some of your pictures you have posted for reference when I reassemble mine. Keep up the great work!

That's what they are there for. Hopefully others can use them as reference material. On a side note, I didn't touch it yesterday, so hoping later today I'll get some work done.

Doesn't look like a lot happened today, but cleared most of the top of the playfield, and marked the connections under it. Also mounted the majority of the bases for the posts.

Top of old playfield is completely cleared. Have both new and old lying beside one another, will need to label some switches before moving the harness, and loosen up the braided lines.

Some more pics and an update. I've finally have the entire wire harness off of the old playfield, and will begin to move it over today.

Some more pics, have the playfield back into the cab now. It's just a matter of re-populating the top, and aligning switches as needed.
