I agree with @fatality83. The DMD controller is resetting, probably due to power loss. That controller has the industry's crappiest 3 pin connection for 5V and ground with the center pin being key. It's an IDC connector. The three pin connector sometimes develops fractures in the solder joints. There is nothing good about how power is provided to this board.

Investigate that first.
After that, the ribbon between the MPU and the DMD Controller would be a suspect.
