Most often symptoms of the game abruptly resetting or ending at different times is related to bad caps on either or the power supply or elsewhere in the game. Checking for strong +5 voltages at the MPU and display board is the first step.

If voltage is low or waining, you likely need caps, or connectors addressed, or both.
Next most likely culprit are sockets on the MPU.
