Great score.
You are probably already aware there is an updated rom, the 20th anniversary edition, but i want to mention anyway
Have fun
Make sure to check / replace all of the fuse clips on the boards . The ones used in the DE pins are renowned for being poor quality . Better to replace them all with good quality ones .
Odd.
It's now playing fine.. Multiball etc
and then all of a sudden it starts acting up.
Would a clean/wipe help?
That's kinda why I mentioned about the fuse clips . You could be getting an intermittent power connection somewhere .
WTF?!
I'm now playing it & the adjustments menu is appearing.. thus stopping game play.
p.s Coin door is closed/locked.
Opps. All fixed.
I had removed the coin mech, but it looks like the coin mech controller board was touching metal.
All fixed.
I also cleaned 4 x fuse clips, so that may of also ironed out the issue.
Thanks guys!
Open the coin door and check the connections / wires going to the service buttons just inside the coin door to the left .
Make sure no wires or terminals are touching each other .
Sounds like you may have a ground / earth issue .
P.S - Probably should mention , just in case , that unless you know what you're doing make sure to turn the machine OFF and unplug it before touching any connectors or wires etc.
EDIT - You beat me to it .. lol . Turned out to be a ground fault after all .
